Original Art vs. Giclee Prints
For over four decades, Nattalia has painted acrylic on canvas originals, which take up to a year or more to complete. She strategizes colour layers to be applied beginning with base colours to final coats. Her originals are mounted on 3/4 inch stretcher frames and have been framed in contemporary metallic frames that complement the paintings. A limited number of originals are available for sale.
Advances in digital print technology during the 1990's brought the emergence of giclee prints, fine art canvas prints that transform original paintings with phenomenal accuracy.
Nattalia's fine art canvas prints are fade and UV resistant and produced on archival canvas , guaranteed for 200 years. The process takes several days and the final canvas print is hand stretched over a solid wooden frame, most popular being gallery wrapped over a 1.5 in. frame and arrives to your door ready to hang.
Giclee Print Framing & Sizing Options
Nattalia's giclee prints are gallery wrapped on a 1.5 inch stretcher frame and produced in limited edition of max. 50 copies. They come numbered and stamped at the back. Each gallery wrapped canvas print arrives ready to hang on the wall. Other frame sizes include 1 inch or 2 inch and can be requested. There is no price difference between the 1 inch and 1.5 inch size, but the 2 inch size adds 1% more in cost. Alternatively, a customer can specify a print to be stretched on a 3/4 inch frame, which allows him/her go a local frame shop and have a frame put on.
The size of the giclee prints for sale reflect the size of the original canvas. However, upon request, a larger or smaller size can be proportionately custom made. Nattalia offers clients a personal service in showing how her art would appear in their home or office. If you send her photos of where you would like to hang her art and which giclees/originals you're interested in, she has software to place her art on your walls. Investing in Art
In Canada, there are tax incentives for business owners to purchase original Canadian art either for their personal office or for the common areas of place of business, i.e. lobby or hallway. Buying art is considered a capital expense for business owners, incorporated or not.
If the buyer is a GST and/QST registrant, such taxes paid at the time of purchasing the artwork can be claimed.
To qualify, the purchase price is valued at $200 (Cdn) or greater and the artist is Canadian. The buyer is entitled to a declining deduction of 33% of the cost of purchasing artwork (class 9.1) at the provincial level of 20% (class 8) at the federal level.
In the United States and elsewhere in the world, there are also similar tax incentives for buyers, who should consult with their local chartered accountant for advice, as laws and regulations, are subject, to change.

My Latest Giclee Prints
Commissioned Art Work
Nattalia is currently working on a commissioned art project to fill a space in an upscale Calgary residence. Her client hired her to paint an acrylic on canvas painting depicting a Calgary Heritage building in the trendy Kensington neighbourhood. The 24 x 30 in. canvas is entitled “Kensington Corner” and is expected to be complete mid-2023.
Previously, she has designed custom art work for small business promotional programs. In addition to painting on canvas, she has studied animation and cartooning and the creator of a graphic novel bestseller.
Free Shipping
Shipping for originals, giclees and calendars is free anywhere in Canada and the United States. Elsewhere, shipping has a flat rate of U.S. $60 per item.
Canadian and American giclee and original painting orders are shipped either by Canada Post or UPS and insured. All orders are tracked.
When in stock, shipping is within 3 to 5 business days. Delivery times could take 1 to 3 weeks. Calendars are mailed by Canada Post and are not tracked.
When not in stock, shipping occurs within 10 to 15 business days.
